Five programmes – Smoothies, Hot Soups, Sauces, Frozen Desserts and Rinse – automatically set the time and speed according to the size of the bowl and stop the blender at the end of the programme.
Overview of the programmes for the 2l blender:
Smoothie: make a fruit, green or protein smoothie in just 50 seconds.
Frozen desserts: vanilla-chocolate or banana-strawberry ice cream in just 60 seconds. During this programme, use the chopper to push the ingredients onto the blades.
Sauces and spreads: fresh pesto sauce or avocado sauce will be ready in 60 seconds.
Hot soups: the ideal soup will be ready in 5:45 minutes.
Washing: add water and dishwashing detergent and it will only take 35 seconds.
With these 5 programmes, you can cook an infinite variety of dishes – for example, with the hot soup programme you can also make delicious sauces, hot chocolate or ginger tea.
In addition to the above-mentioned programmes, the Vitamix ASCENT series also has a manual speed control and a pulsation function, allowing you to achieve the desired texture of your food. The ultra-powerful blender motor makes it easy to crush grains, nuts, ice cream and frozen foods. For ice cream and thick foods such as peanut butter or turnip hummus, the Vitamix’s included chopper makes the job much easier. This means you won’t have to stop the chopper and scrape ingredients off the sides of the bowl.
Technological innovation: the SELF-DETECT container
All ASCENT fridges are equipped with SELF-DETECT technology, which allows the appliance to “recognise” the dish. The blender then adjusts the automatic programmes to the selected capacity and does not start until the container is correctly positioned on the motor unit. For example, selecting the Smoothie programme and placing a small container on the blender will allow the blender to run for a shorter time and consume less energy. If you select the Soup programme, the appliance will only work with the lid on, as the hot steam must escape through the vents in the 2-litre container. If the selected programme is not suitable for the selected container, the blender will not start. Thanks to this technological innovation, even a beginner can use the blender safely and easily.
The new 2-litre Vitamix Ascent has a transparent lid with a locking system that allows the A3500 to start working only when the lid is properly closed. Through the transparent lid, you can monitor the food and its consistency without interrupting the grinding process. If you want to add additional ingredients during the grinding process, you can do so by opening the lid at the top.
