Is the Explorer bottle dishwasher safe?
No, this bottle cannot be washed in the dishwasher. Although this does not damage the stainless steel structure, it can compromise the integrity of the vacuum insulation if water penetrates the double wall. Hand wash only and do not soak completely in water for the same reason.
Are there any things I should know about this bottle?
It is not intended for use with baby food or dairy products. Take care when opening if filled with hot liquids and keep out of the reach of children. Make sure that no perishable drinks (which may expire) are stored in the bottle. Make sure the silicone sealant is applied correctly to the lid to seal it completely.
How to clean the bottle?
Rinse thoroughly with hot soapy water before use, but do not immerse completely in water. Wash the bottle regularly to keep it clean and avoid unpleasant odours. Store the bottle with the caps removed and make sure it is thoroughly dried after washing.
How to remove stains or odours?
Add one teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda and mix with hot water. Leave overnight with the cap removed and clean thoroughly. You can also try replacing bicarbonate of soda with vinegar, but rinse thoroughly with soapy water afterwards to remove any taste or smell.
