Ethiopia – the cradle of coffee. Sidamo, a vast area in the fertile lands of the Rift Valley, is one of the three most famous coffee regions in Ethiopia (along with Harar and Jirgachefe). The Sidamo region, located in the southern part of the country, lies between 1 550 and 2 200 m above sea level, with abundant rainfall, optimum temperatures and fertile soils.
