Description
Arouta root is a good binder with which to make and thicken many foods: soups, sauces, puddings, biscuits, jellies, ice creams and baked goods. In a gluten-free diet, it can be an excellent thickener and also a flour substitute.
Mix 1 tablespoon arrowroot starch with 250 ml cold water or other liquid. Then add to the finished dish.
