The reishi mushroom grows in Asia and has long been used in traditional Eastern medicine to ensure longevity and overall health. Nowadays, Reishi is used as a supplement with certain health-enhancing properties.
The main bioactive compounds in reishi are beta-glucan polysaccharides and ganoderic and ganoderenic acids (also known as triterpenes). In addition, reishi provides polyphenol antioxidants, prebiotic fibre, ergosterol (a precursor of vitamin D), peptides, enzymes and much more.
Recommended daily dose: 2 g powder. Take with water or mix in cocktails, dishes.
