Neroli essential oil is extracted by steam distillation from the flowers of the evergreen bitter orange tree Citrus Aurantium Amara. Interestingly, three different essential oils are obtained from different parts of the same tree (bitter orange oil is obtained by cold pressing from the peel of the fruit, while Petitgrain oil is steam distilled from the leaves).
