The cocoa mass is perfect for use in vegan dessert recipes, sweet baked goods, homemade chocolate or the most delicious cocoa and hot chocolate.
Chocolate is made from cocoa beans, which contain more than 300 active ingredients, including phenyl, ethylamine and serotonin. Native to the tropical climate of South America, the Theobroma cacao tree is considered sacred by the Maya and Aztec tribes. Cocoa beans are a great “superfood” in themselves, as they are rich in various antioxidants and other nutrients. Cocoa beans produced by organic farmers in Peru contain 3 more antioxidants than green tea. Cocoa beans are a rich source of minerals. Hand-selected as pods, the highest quality green beans are selected and fermented to reduce their natural bitterness.
